Good

Nice to have a way to text from your computer, much faster than on the phone. Good for when youre in the office. Program is reliable most of the time, very few issues

Paid for Premium Service, Not working!!!

I bought premium service and have had it over a year and it hasn;t worked since December 2015, they charged me again, and I still have not gotten a response from them. It worked great when it worked, but I’m not sure why or what happen, so please think twice about installing because if there’s a problem, you won’t get a response at least I haven’t, paid for a app and haven’t been able to use it since last December. There are other app’s that offer same services and developers that value there customers concerns and at least respond within a timely manner to customer technical issues. This could explain why they have a rating low in my opinion.

Waste of time

Didn’t work, and looks sketchy. Move on, these are not the ‘droids you’re looking for.

Adds signature without your knowledge

I liked this app till I noticed that it adds the signature "via mysms.com" randomly to the end of some messages. Theres no way to delete it because it doesnt show up till after the message has been sent. Thats a sneaky marketing tactic. If they got rid of this annoying feature, I would use the app.

A Review

It advertises to the people you text and it amost never loads all the texts you’ve been sent onto your computer. Super anoying. Wouldn’t use this app.

After more than a year of use

First, if you want desktop sms in a standalone client (and not a chrome app) this is one of your few choices. It does what it says when you have premium, syncing across devices of all types, the ability to send and receive without need for your phone. For those features, I have been very happy with it. It does not require anyone else to have this program if you enable it as your sms provider. Having said all of this, I am not sure how much longer I can really be a member. The app has not seen an update in nearly a year and a half. I have reported a number of bugs that have gone unaddressed. As many hate stated, the look is dated and with no options for a dark theme and clearly no horizon for that being added, I am getting tired of eye fatigue. There are dozens of players in the space or entering the space quickly so to be this stale for this long, and just collect the paycheck is rather sad. As a software developer myself it pains me to see a company back burner a good product. I dont know the reasons but it was really the only thing keeping me with mysms as the phone client is identical to any other sms replacement out there. Time I guess will tell if they can update their products or sink with them.

Authentication Broken

If you have two factor auth on your google account, after you enter your password the 2nd factor page will appear briefly before vanishing, making it impossible to log in.

Error in the notification

Each time we receive a notification, it is written "mysms Test" in the title of the notification message. Also, it would be great to receive the notifications in the Notification Center.

Does not send SMS messages

This app doesnt send SMS (as name suggests) messages…

You need a mobile to send sms through your computer

I wanted to send sms without my mobile, if I had a mobile I would use it. Im traveling and wanted to send and receive sms to my friends. The first step of installation is to insert your mobile number and they sent a code that you need to enter. I cannot do that step. I spent $3.99 and now I cant use it.

Works nicely as a Chrome extension, not so well as an app

The Mac OS version has a bug: it indicates there is an unread text when there isnt. You would have to have the app running to receive another text and then after you read it, the unread message indicator goes away.

Not the nicest UI

The only reason I use this application is beacuse there is nothing with a nicer UI. The UI looks like it comes from 5 years ago. You should modify it to be more modern or at least mimic Apple’s experience.. it feels very out of place.

NOT TRUE!

This app is useless. In their homepage they say it can be used to receive sms on the computer but is not true. One can only receive messages from other users that have installed the application. One cannot receive normal sms from telephonic numbers.

want my money back

this wont even open, fix this app. I wasted like 4 dollars on it....

Waste of Money

I just downloaded this application thinking I could just type the phone number, and text from my mac. Well, this application requires that the other person has mysms as well. So not only did i waste my money on my iPhone, also on my mac. Unless you want to tell all your friends to pay $4 so that you can send them messages from your mac, save your money.

Awsome!

This app totally does what it says in the description. I found it annoying to have to be on my computer AND be on my phone at the same time, so this is so much easier. Highly recommended!

Useless

You cant use this app to send SMS messages to people. Its not actual SMS, its a separate message system that only uses SMS to send out an initial "invite" SMS with a link to download this app. You can then only send messages to people who also have installed the app. Dont waste your money!

Works as described

Synced with phone, works exactly as you would want it to. Macbook Air running Mountain Lion and Samsung Galaxy S3 EDIT: Worked once, just fine. Then it asked me to activate again, said I have the wrong password (I didnt). Said they would send me an activation SMS to validate my account… didnt get it. Tried to have them resend activation 30+ times with no luck. As of right now, I am contacting Apple for a refund. Gave it two stars because I it did work, I would work well.

Worthless

Requires that any contact you want to text signs up for thier service. Disregard any review that says otherwise.

What a crock of bull!

Program touts itself as an SMS messaging program. Its not. Its basicaly their own version of iMessages and only works with others who have the SAME SERVICE. Pretty lame. I cant think of an instance that this program would even be useful.
