What a waste of time! It cannot send or receive texts at all! This should be illegal! What a SCAM!!! Save your money and just run. What idiots ripping people off. There really should be a bit more monitering with these apps. How can I get my money back?

**THIS APP WILL NOT SEND SMS MESSAGES** Despite being called "Mysms", you cant send SMS messages from it. Your friends have to download, sign up for, and use the app for it to work. Its not SMS, its Instant Messaging. Also, when I pointed this out to their Support team, they were quite rude in their response, implying I cant read and quoting the ambiguous description. The description nowhere says "Cant send SMS" in it, yet they insinuated I was stupid for now knowing that. Save your $4 on this. Its a joke app, and the developers dont deserve the $4....

Just spent $4 for nothing and now I decide to read the reviews to find out it does not do SMS. My loss, will not happen again.

So I tried this app out because I couldnt use my phone at work or at school…so I have an easier way to message people…. So now I just used 4 bucks on this app, which doesnt do what IT SAYS….and While i tried texting my cousin with this app…he got the message, but im still waiting till my app receives it…. BOGUS DONT BUY, I want my money back

Lesson Number one: Read reviews before you purchase an app. Not really an SMS product. People you text have to have the app in order to get it to really be useful. Worked on the iphone… however, text is added to your message to invite people to use the product. I just wanted to get text messages on my laptop. I respectfully suggest you read the description very carefully… not what I expected.

This app is convenient when it works. It allows you to use your computer to send texts from your phone. However it is pretty buggy. Sometimes it just doesnt work. This is especially frustrating when you dont realize your text didnt go through.

If you’re looking for an app that allows you to send an SMS from your Mac via your carrier, do NOT even consider this. The description and site are quite misleading about it. On the face of it, it seems like that is exactly what this app does. All the initially visible areas of the description make it seem that you can actually send SMS messages from your destop. The name itself is misleading. You cannot SMS at all. You can message through their app, as long as other people you talk to use the same app. So you’re sucked into buying something, that is only useful if you get your friends to buy/install it too. They need to change their description and site, to have VERY big and bold letters right up top, saying it ONLY sends SMS messages if you get your friends to install the app and use it for messaging. Personally, I have a problem with inviting people to buy or install a program. Really, they absolutely MUST be forced to change the name. It’s not SMS. It has nothing to do with SMS. SMS is only through your carrier. Technically, they don’t lie outright. If you read deep enough, it does make you aware that it does not work as they make it look like it works. But in all honesty, they get 1 star. Because that should be the first thing it says, before anything else. Absolutely useless unless they get it working through your carrier, and NOT worth the money at all. It’s well designed, but until they figure out how to make it work as it claims (sending SMS messages regardless of if your contact uses this app or not) the review stands. When they get it working like they make it look that it does, it would be a 5 star app because it’s beautifully designed and stable. Just worse than useless.

this works, i can text from my mac as it is synced via my gmail from my phone to my mac. however, it only shows regular sms text and none of my mms group text. if they add this, this would be perfect. i’m thinking the lower star reviews are from an older version, but this does work but doesn’t integrate mms group text.

Do not buy this application as it is totally useless on apple computer and does not send any sms and forces you to promote them before you send any sms. I am writing to them to claim my refund from this crook company.

At first it wasnt showing my contacts or messages in the mac app. Then after going through the settings on my phone (Galaxy Note) and manually syncing everything is useful. This is day 1 so if it changes Ill edit my review.

Since upgrading my OS, it just displays an empty window.

I installed this app on my computer and my iPhone. After I tired to send a message it would not work. The only way for the other person to get my text message they would have to install this app on there phone also. I was not aware of that and wasted my time testing out this app. Don’t even think about downloading this app. It’s a waste of time.

Syncs well with my phone, but I feel that there aren’t enough preferences to customize the interface. A dark theme would be really nice. Also, it would be cool to be able to messages to send messages through the notification center, like iPhone users do. Overall, it does it job.

False hope here my friends…. you can only send to people who also have the app…. its not text messaging

This app works very well indeed for what its designed to do -- connect your non-iOS phone SMS messaging to your Mac. All my SMS messages from my phone now show up both on my Mac and on my iPad, where I can copy and paste them to my hearts content. I can send texts using my Mac and have them delievered via my phone. I get notices about my phone ringing, even!

I can’t get it to sync, manually or otherwise. Can only send messages to other mysms users. But I don’t know any so I can’t test to see if even that works! Online support is no help.

It won’t let me send messages to anyone—even if they are a MYSYS user. Every time I hit send I get a message that reads, "Invite XXXX XXXX to use mysms! You can then send free messages to eachother.” It works through my iPhone and when messages go through, I can see them on my Macbook. But it WILL NOT LET ME SEND! Grrrrrrr!!!!!

Design looks ok but oh boy……. “Here send your message by MAKING your friends sign up for our service!” Fail. Use Facebook or something else to grow your user base. Oh man I would love to use Mighty Text but alas. No this is trash, Im not happy and I just killed 20 minutes. Thanks for nothing!
