So I signed up and logged in on Mac and installed the app on my smartphone. I am not able to receive any SMS on my mac. Neither could I send a message to any phone number… Very disappointing...

There are definitely problems with this new version. (1) The display breaks words apart so it’s hard to proof read my message before I send it. (2) I’ll be typing when, suddenly, characters start forming at the beginning of my message. I’m not sure WHY this happens. My best guess is that I’ve reached the end of my allowed number of characters… except that it’s still typing characters… it’s just putting them all at the beginning of my message… one character per line! (3) When I get a group text I can’t tell who is sending what message. (4) When replying to group message I can’t reply to the sender privately. Everyone gets the message.

The app is awesome but things like spelling errors don’t show as red like on other native mac apps and the emoji support is lackluster. Please fix these things.

when I click on the notification, it does not open the app. please fix this.

I recently broke my charger for my iPhone 5c, so before it died i downloaded this app so that i will be able to keep in contact with my boyfriend, mom, and work. IT DOES NOT SEND TEXT MESSAGES! It says to go to advanced settings on my phone... there is none. Waste of time. Fix the bugs, this was a great idea and has potential.

For people having problems, I solved mine but setting mysms as my default texting app on my phone and sending a few texts that way. They went through, and then I switched my default texting app back to Hangouts and so far the web app and chrome extension/app are still working. I guess it needs mysms as the default at first to establish a connection?

Have been using this app for a few months. I have a macbook and a droid phone and this works very well with both. I saw a review that says the recipient of the texts needs to have this app. That is not true at all. I use this all the time for all of my contacts and I know for a fact that the ones I text the most do not have this app. I have had to log back on it a couple of times, which is not a problem. Otherwise, it works great.

clicking the notification in the corner of the screen doesn’t even take you to the app it just does nothing. Great app otherwise.

Keeps crashing and now no longer resizable. How do you make such poor changes but not fix mark as unread and window size?

Ever since i did the last update, the app wont work now. It says it has chrashed before it even opens. WIsh i didnt update!

I really like this app, it’s free and simple. However, I have a couple suggestions for the devs. First, I have a problem with getting sms twice when they were only sent once. Second, I’d like to be able to program a custom notification for sms.

I keep getting SMS messages twice when people only send them once. Also, when everything is marked ‘read’ and actually read, the app badge still has a number :/

I use this daily to send texts from my computer, and it’s great when it works. It has two frustrating problems, though. 1) The “unread message” badge frequently shows a “1” even when I have clicked on each message to read it. Closing the app and reloading it doesn’t fix the problem. 2) When I connect to a VPN, the app crashes. It’s understandable if it doesn’t work over VPN, but it’s embarassing that it crashes rather than displaying a message stating that it won’t work over VPN. These issues really ought to be fixed since they’ve existed for all versions of the app that I’ve used (I’ve been using the app about a year).

This is a good app but when will the osx app get an updated look like on the phone os or maybe themes.

Works like a charm! The free version is amazing!

Requires everyone one to have a membership. Its not really text messenging. Uninstalled in less then three minutes.

How do I stop it from showing the link “Via mySMS” at the bottom?

Hate it! App is glitchy, will add a signature to your messages without letting you know about it. DONT try the free trial unless you want to end up paying $10. Theres no way you can cancel your trial and they dont respond to emails once you are charged.
